Software Development Engineer, AWS Infrastructure Services

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The team is responsible for keeping the cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. This role specifically focuses on the AWS Direct Connect team, which is building large-scale distributed systems to meet customer demands.

As a Software Development Engineer on the Direct Connect team, you will be:

• Designing and developing new SDN (Software Defined Network) solutions for enterprise customers
• Building hybrid cloud solutions tailored to specific network needs
• Ensuring durability, resiliency, speed and high availability of systems
• Working in a fast-paced environment where you'll prototype ideas, instrument code, interact with customers, and develop new features
• Collaborating with a worldwide team that's growing at Amazon scale

The position offers significant responsibility and empowerment to meet customer needs. You'll be working on critical workloads at very large scale, making operational excellence essential. The compensation package includes a base salary range of $129,300 to $223,600 per year depending on geographic location, plus potential equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
