Software Development Engineer, AWS Tagging

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Intelligent Operations team, specifically the AWS Tagging team. This role involves building, owning, and operating foundational AWS services that handle billions of API requests per day. The ideal candidate will design and build extremely scalable services capable of single-digit millisecond latency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the resource property store, allowing customers to authorize actions, organize resources, and provide usage and auditing reports.
• Solve problems at an unprecedented scale, handling billions of transactions per day.
• Own architecture, design, and code for long-term product strategy for AWS Authentication and Authorization services.
• Develop and operate low-latency, high-availability Authentication and Authorization services.
• Own and continuously improve operational metrics and automation tools.
• Execute against project plans and delivery commitments.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
