The Variations team sits within Amazon's Catalog Systems division and maintains a high bar for operational and software engineering excellence while fostering a collaborative and supportive culture. You'll work closely with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to continually improve the quality of variations in Amazon's catalog. The team uses AWS technologies like EMR, ECS, Fargate, and SageMaker to build and maintain these systems at scale.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing and reviewing high-quality code in Java and Python, collaborating on design documents and architectural decisions, analyzing data to identify variation quality issues, and participating in agile ceremonies. You'll also be responsible for debugging and resolving production issues while maintaining service reliability, monitoring system performance, and staying current with the latest ML/AI technologies.
