Amazon's Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer to shape the future of AWS customer experience through service performance improvement. This role focuses on enhancing a complex multi-cloud framework for orchestrating, running, and analyzing performance benchmarking workloads. The position is critical in measuring AWS service performance and conducting analyses that influence CEO/SVP-level decisions.

The role requires exceptional software development skills and expertise in distributed system performance and statistics. You'll work on building infrastructure and automation for performance benchmarks, collaborating with diverse teams across multiple services and clouds. The position offers significant independence in choosing technical stacks and working directly with stakeholders.

As part of the CXBT organization, you'll join a diverse team dedicated to understanding and improving customer experience globally. The team includes various professionals from Product Managers to Data Scientists, working on products and services that impact almost every Amazon business.

The compensation is competitive, ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.   • Design and build infrastructure and automation to execute performance benchmarks across AWS services
  • Own key features of automation lifecycle from scoping and execution
  • Work with stakeholders to define and build features to measure customer-critical performance metrics
  • Own key components of custom built multi-cloud orchestration framework
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to continuously raise the bar on AWS service performance
