Description For Software Development Engineer, Denied Party Screening

At Amazon Security, we're tackling the critical challenge of preventing denied entities from transacting with Amazon businesses. This role focuses on building automatic detection mechanisms using diverse algorithms and machine learning techniques to screen over a billion events daily. You'll join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, ML scientists, and domain experts to protect Amazon's brand and maintain customer trust.

As an SDE, you'll work on large-scale distributed systems that handle massive transaction volumes with unique scaling challenges. The role offers an entrepreneurial environment where you'll help define customer experiences and build innovative solutions optimized for relationship-based analysis. You'll collaborate with various Amazon businesses and stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams.

Requirements For Software Development Engineer, Denied Party Screening

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems
