Software Development Engineer, Fintech Tax

Amazon's Fintech Tax Technology team is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join their mission of defining the future of Internet commerce. This role is part of Amazon's Finance Technology team, which builds software systems ensuring compliance for Amazon businesses and its subsidiaries worldwide. The team handles tens of billions of dollars in transactions, serving millions of vendors including publishers, app developers, game developers, marketplace sellers, and associates.

The position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems that process and integrate with enterprise customers while maintaining an intuitive UI for Amazon Tax teams. You'll be working in a highly technical and entrepreneurial culture, building solutions that must scale to accommodate rapid processing and integration with large enterprise customers.

As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving architectural and design choices, inventing new features, developing distributed services, and building a scalable, service-oriented platform. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a solid computer science foundation, and the ability to build and ship products frequently. You'll work with cross-functional teams and partner with the CFO organization worldwide.

The team operates some of the world's largest software platforms by volume and complexity, interacting with all of Amazon's businesses globally.
