Description For Software Development Engineer - Generalist, Amazon Games

Join Amazon Games Bucharest, part of Amazon's expanding game development and publishing division, alongside teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego, and Seattle. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of creating new gaming experiences across various projects and platforms. The role involves tackling complex technical challenges, optimizing performance, and ensuring game system scalability.

You'll be working with Amazon Games, whose ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around their games. The team consists of game industry veterans developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games in collaboration with developers, including Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY from NCSOFT, and upcoming projects like King of Meat from Glowmade and the next major Tomb Raider entry.

This position requires extensive knowledge and passion for working with game engines, multiplayer systems, and performance optimization. You'll be part of a team that values technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration, working on cutting-edge gaming technology while contributing to Amazon's growing presence in the gaming industry.
