Description For Software Development Engineer, IAM, Stores Security

At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering delightful customer experiences. The Stores Security team is responsible for creating and maintaining a high security bar across all Amazon's products and services. This role focuses on building Access Policy Management systems and implementing fine-grained access control (FGAC) for sensitive data. You'll work on sophisticated features using leading-edge technologies, developing solutions for attribute-based access control (ABAC) and context-based authorization. The team applies Machine Learning techniques in their Monitored Access program to detect and mitigate internal and external threats. This position offers the opportunity to work at impressive scale, protecting hundreds of thousands of services and safeguarding customer, seller, vendor, and employee information. You'll collaborate with multiple Amazon organizations and experienced tech leaders to build impactful security products. The role involves full development cycle participation, from design through deployment, and requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Java
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience

  • Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java or others
