Software Development Engineer II

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions organization is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their Just Walk Out Technology team. This innovative technology enables checkout-free shopping experiences in retail stores, allowing customers to simply grab items and go without traditional checkout lines. The role is part of the Retail Platform Technology team, which builds the platform and architecture offering retail capabilities for Just Walk Out stores.

The position involves working on various domains including Order Management, in-store pricing intelligence, shopper receipts and refunds, and merchant experience capabilities. The technology stack leverages vision, sensor fusion, and advanced machine learning to automatically detect when products are taken from or returned to shelves.

As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality software while tackling complex technical challenges. You'll own end-to-end project delivery, create detailed solution designs, and work closely with stakeholders. The role requires strong technical skills, good judgment in making engineering trade-offs, and the ability to mentor team members.
