Software Development Engineer II, CatalogDataManagement

Amazon's Item and Offers team is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their CatalogDataManagement division. This role is part of a critical team responsible for developing services that process item information from millions of merchants across Amazon's e-commerce platform. The team manages billions of products and handles hundreds of millions of real-time catalog changes daily.

The position focuses on the IMS Platform team, which owns the Plugin Platform, Bifrost Service, and IMS Datamart. These systems are crucial for catalog enrichment, processing over 50 billion attribute enrichments monthly. The Plugin Platform has successfully launched 30+ plugins, significantly reducing enricher onboarding time and simplifying integration with IOP's Contribution and Item processing.

As an SDE II, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing high-availability systems, working with distributed systems that must be transactional, scalable, and fault-tolerant. You'll collaborate with top-tier developers on cross-team projects and translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role offers a unique combination of challenging computer science problems and business impact.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
