Software Development Engineer II, Internet Monitoring, GCNA

Key responsibilities:

• Leverage, develop, and implement cutting-edge algorithms and techniques to automate and optimize Internet Monitoring and operations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Design, test, and deploy scalable software systems that leverage Generative AI techniques to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of excellence in software engineering practices.
• Proactively identify and address technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey project status and align on strategic objectives.
• Own the operational excellence of the software you put into production.

About the team: The Internet Monitoring team is responsible for the services that monitor the health of Amazon's traffic to and from the Internet. We provide the authoritative source of Internet health-detecting and reporting of internet impairments affecting AWS services. We provide the Internet health signal to operators and service owners for manual traffic engineering & other downstream consumers for Automated Traffic Optimization and Management.
