Description For Software Development Engineer II (L5), Personal Information Domain, Enterprise Onboarding and Administration

The Joining Amazon Technology team is building cutting edge solutions to revolutionize the way we onboard 2.8 million Amazon new workers a year in over 60 countries. We do not depend on third party monolithic HR systems. Our software products use Amazon Web Services to intelligently work through the complexity of country and role differences, and ensure new hires start successfully on Day 1 with delightful onboarding experiences.

As a Software Development Engineer II on the Personal Information Domain (PID) Platform team, you will own and lead projects that impact new Amazonians around the globe. You'll be responsible for building full-stack enterprise solutions using cloud technologies, owning both customer-facing experiences and back-end services to enable Personal Information management across all of Amazon.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end design, build, and maintenance of domain platform services
  • Develop HR admin experiences and sophisticated data validation capabilities
  • Ensure customers receive the HR support and services they need
  • Interact with engineers, product managers, stakeholders, and managers
  • Design and implement new features, enhancements, and solve complex issues
  • Advocate for and invent solutions to improve the customer experience

We are seeking experienced engineers with strong ownership, exceptional design skills, strong technical judgment, excellent problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and a desire to be a key technical contributor. The software you build will be used across all of Amazon's locations globally, impacting millions of Amazonians.
