Software Development Engineer II, Pricing

Amazon Business (www.amazon.com/business) is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join their rapidly expanding $35 billion global business. This role is part of the Business to Business (B2B) market team, which aims to disrupt the way buying and selling happens between businesses and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will participate in the full development cycle, from design and implementation to testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance. You'll work on building cutting-edge and highly distributed systems to support businesses around the world selling on Amazon. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing components and services for new features and capabilities
• Preparing estimates for upcoming deliverables
• Documenting proposed solutions
• Reviewing code of other team members
• Writing well-structured and optimized code
• Performing root cause analysis on operational events
• Providing project updates to leadership and team members

You'll have the opportunity to work with Senior and Principal Engineers to define architecture plans for the next three years, make decisions on build vs. re-use by collaborating with Retail and Seller Pricing teams, and set standards for handling operational load.

This role involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every 6-7 weeks. The position offers a competitive salary range of $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on the geographic market and other factors.
