Software Development Engineer, JDK, Amazon Corretto JDK

Amazon's Corretto team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work on their OpenJDK distribution. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to OpenJDK, an open-source software used by hundreds of millions of developers worldwide. As part of AWS Utility Computing (UC), you'll work on Amazon's public distribution of OpenJDK, providing certified builds across multiple operating systems and architectures.

The position involves maintaining and enhancing the Corretto JDK, actively participating in open-source communities, and working on critical infrastructure and automation. You'll collaborate with top engineers at Amazon and service owners to meet customer needs, requiring strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The Corretto team consists of experienced OpenJDK Authors, Committers, and Reviewers, some with decades of expertise in JDK internals, language design, and managed runtimes. The team leverages insights from running some of the world's largest Java deployments to guide their investments and shares enhancements with the broader open-source community.
