Software Development Engineer, (Level 5)

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for the AWS Networking organization to join a team designing and developing software and services for configuration and automation operations. This role is part of AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) which owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

As an SDE, you will:

• Design and develop software components and services for new features and capabilities
• Work autonomously on team and cross-team level projects
• Prepare estimates for deliverables and document solutions
• Review code from other team members
• Write well-structured and optimized code
• Perform root cause analysis on operational events
• Provide project updates to leadership

You'll collaborate with software, hardware, and network engineers, working on challenging problems involving thousands of variables in the supply chain. The role offers:

Base salary ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits package.
