Software Development Engineer, MSP Pack Automation

Amazon's Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Pack Automation team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to build and maintain software that connects automated pack machines in Amazon Fulfillment Centers with warehouse management services in the cloud. This role involves developing innovative solutions to decrease delivery times and improve the efficiency of Amazon's global fulfillment network.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building new software from the ground up
• Creating pragmatic solutions for complex business problems
• Working closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers worldwide
• Owning and delivering highly visible, innovative projects that directly impact the customer experience
• Driving technical and architectural vision
• Participating in all aspects of the software development cycle, including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and delivery

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Knowledge of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
