Software Development Engineer, Physical Stores, DPM

As part of the AWS Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon's unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We are hiring an SDE for contributing to the Physical Stores Device management (DPM) team's charter.

The Deployment, Provisioning, and Management (DPM) team is responsible for systems that enable seamless device management across multiple Amazon's businesses. Our main responsibilities include device provisioning, application deployment, logging and metrics, device command's orchestration, and configuration-data management.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will:

• Help solve a variety of technical challenges
• Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables
• Build quick prototypes or proofs of concept
• Invent new features, design, develop and deploy reliable distributed services
• Work with core languages and technologies including Java, C++, GO and JavaScript

You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day and work with multiple technical teams at Amazon in different locations. You should be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving problems that haven't been solved at scale before.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
