Software Development Engineer SDE (Madrid), EUIC - Predictive Cart Building

The EU INTech Predictive Cart Building team at Amazon is focused on revolutionizing the shopping experience by creating innovative solutions that help customers build their carts more effectively. As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing sophisticated systems that power personalized product recommendations, one-click reorder bundles, and incentivized basket building experiences.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on features that directly impact millions of Amazon customers across Europe. You'll be part of a diverse, established tech team of full-stack SDEs based in Madrid, working across the worldwide Stores tech stack and beyond. The team's mission is to create convenient and delightful shopping experiences where customers organically add multiple items to their cart that meet both their present and future needs.

Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and delivering various software applications, working closely with product managers, UX designers, and scientists to tackle complex challenges at the intersection of machine learning, user experience, and e-commerce. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, drive operational excellence best practices, and maintain quality on team deliverables.

The role involves working on various components of retail including Search, Detail Page, Cart, Checkout, and Post-Purchase features. You'll be involved in the complete development lifecycle, from idea conception and technical design to implementation and weblab experimentation. The team maintains a high bar for operational excellence, with a focus on CI/CD practices and DevOps work for the services they own.
