Description For Software Development Engineer, Security Assurance Engineering

The AWS Security Assurance Engineering team is responsible for scaling AWS's ability to exceed the security and compliance expectations of our regulators, auditors, and customers globally. We own driving highly complex security and compliance campaigns across AWS. We design and build services that stand up to the scrutiny of external regulators and inspection by AWS's most security-sensitive customers.

As a Software Engineer on our team, you will build and own internal services that identify and monitor security/compliance-relevant attributes of key infrastructure, scale security and compliance assessments of AWS services, and expand our ability to continuously monitor key security functions. You will be part of a growing team that has a high bar for engineering excellence, minimal technical debt, new services to build, and fairly quiet pagers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and own internal services for security and compliance
  • Contribute to solving complex engineering and business problems
  • Design and implement scalable solutions for security assessments

The team values diverse experiences and encourages applications from candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. Amazon Security offers opportunities to build experience in various areas including cloud, devices, retail, entertainment, healthcare, operations, and physical stores.

Amazon Security prioritizes:

  • Inclusive team culture with ongoing DEI events
  • Training and career growth opportunities
  • Work-life harmony with flexible work arrangements

Join us to have a material impact on cloud security and compliance while working on cutting-edge technologies and solving complex challenges.
