Sr Business Intelligence Engineer, NA Supply Chain Inbound Analytics

Amazon's supply chain placement team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join their Analytics team. The role involves delivering business intelligence/data science solutions to internal customers focused on supply chain optimization and forecast accuracy. Key responsibilities include:

• Working on new and ambiguous business problems, offering opportunities to innovate and apply novel approaches.
• Identifying, developing, and executing analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present business recommendations to reduce fulfillment cost, optimize resources, and protect customer experience.
• Reporting key insight trends using statistical rigor to inform business teams of noteworthy storylines.
• Working with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL, scripting languages, and AWS technologies.
• Continuously learning and implementing big-data technologies to optimize processing of large data sets.
• Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting, analysis, data integrity, test design, validation, and documentation.
• Building automated data solutions and dashboards to enable team self-service data needs.

The role requires excellent statistical and analytical abilities, deep knowledge of business intelligence solutions and data engineering practices, and the ability to partner with various teams across Amazon. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and able to collaborate with internal customers to transform business problems into requirements and deliverables.
