Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will own the development, implementation, and test of the operational procedures and tooling built to execute the Kuiper mission. Deep knowledge of software engineering practices and understanding of how software and hardware systems interact is essential. Familiarity with space systems is desired.
The Mission Operations Software Services team works across Kuiper to ensure successful execution and iterative improvement of on-orbit operations to deliver highly reliable customer service. The team designs and implements operational procedures and software that support mission operations and automation, executes mission operations and demonstrations on-orbit, and analyzes system performance to drive improvement across the program.
This position offers a competitive compensation package, including equity and a full range of benefits. The base pay ranges from $151,300/year to $261,500/year, depending on the geographic market and job-related factors.
