Responsibilities For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Root causing security issues and coordinating with Amazon security response teams
- Identifying and driving areas of improvement for Kuiper security mechanisms
- Supporting product development processes by providing security consultation
- Collaborating with business leaders to define security priorities
- Supporting product leaders as a trusted security advisor
- Guiding teams towards secure-by-default solutions
- Investigating emerging security issues and devising prevention mechanisms
- Mentoring builders who aspire to become security advocates
- Assisting Red Teams in identifying security testing priorities
- Proposing security vision that protects customers
Requirements For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 6+ years delivering security software in a production environment
- 3+ years experience delivering distributed software systems in Python, Java, Rust, GoLang or C/C++
- 3+ years experience in delivering for cloud-native environments
- 3+ years in a role handling security incident response or disaster recovery
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
