Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites, aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As a Sr. Security Engineer on the Kuiper Security team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the security of this advanced satellite-based broadband telecom service end-to-end. You'll work in a startup-like environment while leveraging Amazon's robust infrastructure to implement security mechanisms and foster a strong security culture.

The compensation package is comprehensive, including a competitive base salary range of $143,300 to $247,600 (varying by location), plus potential equity, sign-on payments, and full benefits including medical, financial, and other perks.
Responsibilities For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- Creating, updating, and maintaining threat models for Kuiper Enterprise components
- Defining security standards for various environments
- Performing manual and automated secure code review
- Conducting network and infrastructure assessments
- Developing security automation tools
- Providing security training and outreach for internal teams
- Offering security architecture and design guidance
- Solving complex security problems using novel approaches
Requirements For Sr. Security Engineer, Kuiper Security
- 5+ years of industry experience with hands-on security engineering experience on services and/or devices
- 5+ years of risk assessment and enabling organizations making security decisions
- 5+ years influencing teams (including providing technical direction, coaching and mentoring)
- 5+ years of experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
