Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Simulation Foundations

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to create a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide global broadband access. As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Simulation Foundations team, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing distributed systems that enable Kuiper to operate within realistic virtual environments at scale. You'll work with cutting-edge AWS technologies and be responsible for building cloud services and APIs that orchestrate simulation of software on Kuiper devices including satellites, ground gateways, and customer terminals.

The role combines cloud architecture expertise with satellite communications technology, requiring you to build low-latency, highly scalable systems critical for delivering high-quality internet service. You'll be part of a team that develops simulation capabilities for constellation-wide experimentation, informing key business decisions and ensuring the quality of software deployed to hardware.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
