Sr. Software Development Engineer, Center for Quantum Computing

The AWS Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the technical direction of their software team focused on accelerating hardware operations. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum computing and software development.

As a Sr. SDE, you will:

• Lead system architecture design and establish best practices
• Work directly with scientists and engineers to translate complex problems into software solutions
• Design and implement maintainable software systems
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in fabrication team workflows
• Mentor and develop other engineers

The role involves working on cutting-edge projects including:

• Building data streaming pipelines for fabrication tools
• Deploying ML models for predictive maintenance
• Developing features for fabrication planning and timeline estimation
• Designing database schemas for device lifecycle workflows

You'll be joining the Device Lifecycle software development team within AWS CQC, working alongside software engineers building technology to scale up quantum computing capabilities. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of fault-tolerant quantum computers while working with a talented team of researchers and engineers.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
