Sr Software Development Engineer, Foundational AI Applications

Amazon Foundational AI Applications, part of Enterprise Engineering, is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to work at the forefront of AI tools development. This role focuses on creating AI-enhanced business productivity applications that help Amazonians focus on high-value work. The team designs, develops, and operates tools that connect to, collect, interpret, and summarize data from internal data sources.

You'll be working with cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) and implementing MCP features to connect data to AI engines. The role involves integrating assistant features into productivity tools that Amazonians use daily, with a focus on creating seamless, user-friendly experiences. A key project involves helping Amazonians create business review documents (MBRs and QBRs) that are used throughout Amazon.

The Foundational AI Applications team is diverse, bringing together Amazonians with various backgrounds and experiences. This perspective enables the team to think broadly and create new productivity experiences leveraging LLMs interconnected with business data platforms. The team is pushing the boundaries of code and text prediction capabilities, building meaning and context understanding into their tools.
