Sr. Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Software Defined Networking

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious low Earth orbit satellite broadband network initiative, designed to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers worldwide. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Software Defined Networking team, you'll be at the forefront of developing the core wireless and networking infrastructure for this advanced global telecom service.

The role involves designing and implementing the network control plane that will manage a complex system of LEO satellites, customer terminals, gateways, cloud services, and terrestrial network infrastructure. You'll be tackling multi-dimensional resource allocation problems at a global scale, working to ensure optimal network performance and customer experience.

The SDN Agent team, described as the "brain" driving the Kuiper Network, focuses on innovation and solving the unique challenges presented by a dynamic global network. Your work will directly impact the quality of service delivered to customers, as you'll be responsible for building and fine-tuning network operations through interaction with satellite ground control services, customer engagement systems, and monitoring services.
