Sr. Software Development Engineer, WW Speed

Amazon's Same Day Delivery Experience team is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help revolutionize the meaning of 'fast' in eCommerce. This role is focused on creating a compelling and friction-free 'delivery in hours' experience for customers worldwide.

The team is in the early stages of reinventing the Amazon shopping experience to make Amazon the first choice for customers needing same-day delivery. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining key system features, working on design approaches, prototyping new technology, and driving product improvements with a focus on customer experience and scalability.

As a senior engineer, you'll be expected to solve complex problems with data-driven solutions, push boundaries beyond conventional limits, and mentor team members while fostering innovation. You'll need to quickly identify gaps in the team and determine the right resources needed to deliver maximum customer value.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in full software development lifecycle processes including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. You'll be working with Amazon's world-class delivery infrastructure to create solutions that impact millions of customers daily.

This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $151,300 to $261,500 per year depending on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits.
