The Books Content Experience team at Amazon is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to join their innovative team. Responsibilities For Sr. Support Engineer

  • Technically lead and execute operational best practices and provide technical direction to team
  • Work closely with Applied Scientists to understand features and models
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to reading features, content delivery, and infrastructure
  • Monitor production systems to ensure optimal health and availability
  • Execute system migrations and upgrades
  • Create and maintain automation tools and scripts
  • Conduct debugging and provide technical solutions
  • Engage in cross-functional team collaboration
  • Regular status reporting of applications and tasks

Requirements For Sr. Support Engineer

Java

  • 5+ years of software development or technical support experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • Experience in Unix
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field
  • Knowledge of Java based technologies
  • Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, workflow modeling, web application development
  • Ability to write intermediate level database queries
