Description For Support Engineer, DC Central Ops

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is seeking a Support Engineer for their DC Central Ops team. This role focuses on supporting the on-boarding of new data center capacity and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) working across multiple organizations.

The position is part of the Data Center Compute and Storage Engineering (DCCSE) Install team, ensuring work in AWS Data Centers is safe, secure, serviceable, and highly available for customers. You'll work with network engineering, service teams, and local operations teams to support hardware deployment and capacity management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing solutions to recover capacity for customers
  • Supporting escalations and issue resolution with Data Center technicians
  • Collaborating with systems engineers on upstream fixes
  • Deep diving into defects throughout the capacity installation process
  • Contributing to data analytics and evaluating trending patterns

You'll be part of AWS's mission to maintain and expand its global infrastructure, working on challenging problems that impact thousands of customers.
