Description For Support Engineer III

Amazon's Support Engineering team is seeking a Support Engineer III to join their team that enables independent authors and publishers to distribute content through the Kindle ecosystem. This role is part of the team that supports Amazon's digital publishing infrastructure, including eBooks for Kindle Store and print formats using Print on Demand technology.

The position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple overlapping tasks. You'll be providing tier 2 & 3 production support services and working closely with Kindle digital product development teams. The role involves extensive troubleshooting, coding projects in shell scripts and web technologies, with potential Java-based projects.

As a Support Engineer III, you'll be responsible for managing incoming support tickets, software deployments, developing maintenance tools, and system status reporting. You'll take ownership of digital products/components while maintaining service level agreements through effective customer communication and workflow coordination.
