The Books Support Tools team is a crucial part of Amazon's digital publishing ecosystem, responsible for powering tools that connect millions of authors, publishers, and readers worldwide. As a Support Engineer IV, you'll be working at the intersection of technology and business, focusing on maintaining and enhancing critical operational tools that support platforms like Kindle Direct Publishing, Goodreads, and Author Central.

The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic improvements, requiring expertise in troubleshooting, automation, and system optimization. Working hours are 3 PM to 12 midnight IST (Mon-Fri). You'll be responsible for handling critical support tickets, developing automation solutions, implementing security improvements, and optimizing systems that support the global books business.

The position offers unique opportunities to work with diverse teams while building scalable solutions across Amazon's books ecosystem. You'll be part of the Books Support Tools (BST) team, a critical engineering organization that drives a 360-degree approach to data security, tool user experience, and feature enhancements. The team collaborates closely with multiple partner teams including Goodreads Operations, Kindle Direct Publishing, Amazon Author Central, Content Acquisition, and Books Risk Management.
