Description For Support Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Customer Support

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to provide global broadband access through a constellation of over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). This role combines technical expertise in RF engineering, satellite communications, and advanced networking technologies.

As a Support Engineer for Kuiper Enterprise Customer Support, you'll be at the forefront of solving complex technical challenges in satellite communications. You'll lead the resolution of customer cases involving satellite-ground network performance, routing anomalies, and connectivity issues. The role requires deep knowledge of signal propagation, antenna design, orbital mechanics, and network protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading resolution of complex customer cases involving satellite-ground network performance
  • Providing technical guidance during high-severity incidents
  • Performing detailed root cause analysis
  • Acting as SME for escalated networking issues

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $81,400 to $182,000 based on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, financial, and other benefits. Requirements For Support Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Customer Support

Linux
  • 5+ years of experience in satellite communications, network operations, or RF engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with RF fundamentals including carrier operations and link budgets
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers and monitoring tools
  • Understanding of antenna specifications and maintenance
  • Strong background in NOC operations
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or have refugee/asylum status
