AFFS team at Pune is looking for a Support Engineer who thrives on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems under extreme loads. Our systems manage hundreds of millions of records, and respond to millions of service requests per minute.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Interface with a diverse customer base to understand requirements, priorities, and processes.
  • Work on expansions of current applications to support new launches
  • Work on identifying and addressing risks to hardware and software while helping maintain application health.
  • Work on customer issues to identify problems and share with Development team to avoid recurrence by addressing root causes.
  • Propose and implement new projects or recommend system improvements which enable Finance Operations
  • Excellent listening, writing and technical communication skills are essential for interaction with senior management on status, risks and emergent issues with project, initiatives and support.

Requirements For Support Engineer (Level 4), Amazon Financials Foundation Services (AFFS)

  • 2+ years of development or technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience in Unix
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
  • B.E. in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of programming, Operating System and networking concepts
  • Object oriented development experience in C++, Java OR Python
  • Experience in database architecture and perform SQL queries
  • Comfortable communicating cross-functionally and across management levels
  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve productivity and develop defect reduction strategies
  • Ability to understand technical specifications, distributed systems architecture and ability to deep dive on service/application logs
