Description For SW Automation Engineer, Graviton Team

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry. As a Python Software Development Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for the Graviton servers' software quality. This includes setting up and maintenance of lab and cloud environments, writing test-plans, automating them, and troubleshooting issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Write tests to constantly check the functionality of the Graviton servers' software
  • Apply software testing techniques and assess the testability of components/features
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks
  • Work closely with developers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality Graviton servers
  • Solve difficult technical problems and work on test frameworks, test tools, and test case automation for large components

Required skills:

  • Strong scripting abilities in Python
  • Experience in testing embedded systems
  • Ability to function as a significant autonomous contributor
  • Proficiency in writing automated tests using Python testing frameworks (e.g., pytest)

Requirements For SW Automation Engineer, Graviton Team

Python

  • Experience building and designing test cases including knowledge of test methodologies
  • Proficient in Python programming
  • Proficient in writing automated tests using Python testing frameworks (e.g. pytest)
  • Experience in testing embedded systems (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (preferred)
