Description For System Development Engineer, AWS Public Sector

AWS Public Sector Industry Products and Solutions Engineering is seeking a System Development Engineer to design and automate AWS infrastructure for government, education, nonprofit, and healthcare customers.

The role involves:

  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying well-architected cloud infrastructure using Python, TypeScript, and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
  • Working closely with product managers, development managers, customers, solutions architects, and development teams
  • Supporting the full spectrum of mission requirements for public sector customers worldwide
  • Implementing and automating infrastructure solutions at scale

Key aspects of the position:

  • Requires US Citizenship for work in AWS GovCloud
  • Offers domestic relocation assistance
  • Located in New York City (in-person)

The compensation package includes:

  • Base salary range: $116,300 - $201,200 per year (varies by location)
