Description For System Development Engineer, FBA Capacity Management and Planning

Join Amazon's FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) Capacity Management and Planning team as a System Development Engineer to help build and manage critical capacity and planning systems at global scale. You'll work on tools for FBA capacity allocation, market-driven limit systems, capacity management in emerging countries, and inventory planning/forecasting. This role combines systems engineering with software development, requiring expertise in infrastructure automation, distributed systems, and cloud technologies.

Requirements For System Development Engineer, FBA Capacity Management and Planning

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting systems experience
  • 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems
  • 4+ years of experience in Systems/Software development and infrastructure
  • 3+ years building solutions to improve availability and scalability
  • In depth knowledge of operating Windows, Linux or Unix variants
  • Computer Science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
  • Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
