System Development Engineer I, KIX

The Kindle Ingestion and Expansion (KIX) team at Amazon is seeking a System Development Engineer I to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in enabling independent authors, content creators, and publishers to publish their content as eBooks for distribution to the Kindle Store, Kindle Unlimited, and the Kindle Owners' Lending Library. As a System Development Engineer, you'll be part of the KIX Support and Systems Development Engineering team, providing Tier 2&3 production support and working closely with development teams for software product release coordination and deployment. You'll be responsible for infrastructure support, maintenance coding projects in Java and AWS, software deployment, and developing operational tools.
