Responsibilities For System Development Engineer-I

  • Handle incoming support tickets, troubleshoot, research root causes, and resolve defects
  • Provide software support in staging and production environments
  • Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
  • Generate system and support status reports
  • Maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting
  • Read and understand complex application code and make code fixes
  • Work on operations and maintenance coding projects
  • Create or improve small tools or applications
  • Collaborate with development teams on support issues
  • Build team-specific knowledge base and skill set
  • Work with customers and internal partners to understand business impacts

Requirements For System Development Engineer-I

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
  • 2+ years of DevOps or SysOps in a large-scale software development environment experience
