System Development Engineer I

Amazon Music is seeking a System Development Engineer I to join their agile team. This role involves working on cutting-edge consumer-facing products in music streaming, where every team member's voice is critical in decision-making. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing infrastructure support for incoming system tickets, troubleshooting across multiple products, features, and services
• Working on maintenance-driven coding projects, primarily using Java and AWS technologies
• Supporting software deployment in staging and production environments
• Developing tools for operations and maintenance
• Reporting on system and support status
• Owning one or more Digital products or components
• Improving Retail Music infrastructure, operational performance, and stability
• Participating in designs, code, and procedure reviews
• Identifying opportunities from technical discussions and making technical trade-offs
• Troubleshooting and resolving defects thoroughly
• Driving company-wide campaigns with Support and Engineering teams
• Keeping compliance risks for Retail Music systems under control
• Leading large-scale projects such as migration to native systems and pipeline automation

The ideal candidate will have experience with highly concurrent, high-throughput systems, distributed systems, and best practices for software deployment. They should also be familiar with distributed operational health and performance monitoring systems.
