Description For System Development Engineer, NextGen Security Automation

At Amazon, security is central to maintaining customer trust and delivering delightful customer experiences. The NextGen Security Automation team is seeking a System Development Engineer to build infrastructure and procedures for autonomous security solutions protecting Amazon's customers. This role combines systems engineering with AI/ML technologies to automate security issue remediation at Amazon's massive scale.

As a SysDev engineer, you'll be at the intersection of security automation and artificial intelligence, developing infrastructure components including pipelines, testing frameworks, and build systems that enable AI/ML-driven autonomous security remediation. You'll work closely with both software development teams and security teams to enhance and integrate new solutions into Amazon's security ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering fundamentals covering networking, storage, and operating systems, along with hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments and CI/CD pipelines. Programming proficiency in modern languages like Python, Java, or Golang is essential. Experience with AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment and working in Agile/Scrum methodology would be advantageous.

Responsibilities For System Development Engineer, NextGen Security Automation
