AWS is launching its first European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a groundbreaking development in utility computing. This role within the AWS Managed Operations team is crucial for building and leading operations teams that will deliver high-availability AWS services specifically for EU customers. The position involves working with core AWS services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of the ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams and influencing AWS service evolution. Your responsibilities include improving service availability, reliability, and performance while participating in on-call rotations for incident resolution.
