Systems Development Engineer, Tech Deploy- Systems Integration

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team. This role is part of Amazon's global initiative to develop and deliver next-generation fulfillment systems through advanced technology. The position requires experience in integrated automation project lifecycle, including design, development, implementation, enhancement, and support.

As a Systems Development Engineer, you'll be instrumental in new product/technology development cycles and responsible for successful equipment delivery for testing and evaluation. You'll act as a liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations and product development engineers, building relationships across cross-functional teams and capturing customer feedback.

The role focuses on owning deployment process development and improvement, validating and testing processes through lab and field activities. You'll integrate, deploy, and troubleshoot solutions for new advanced technology systems, providing iterative feedback to internal and external partners.

Key responsibilities include supporting complex cross-functional project installations, working with engineering teams, contributing to project priorities, conducting technical deep dives, participating in design reviews, and communicating project status effectively. The position requires up to 75% travel throughout North America.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software development, system architecture, and control systems. They should be comfortable with Unix/Linux environments, AWS services, and have a solid understanding of professional software engineering practices.
