Description For Technical Account Manager, Enterprise On-Ramp, ASEAN

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking motivated technologists for the role of Technical Account Manager in the Enterprise On-Ramp team for the ASEAN region. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around cloud-based solutions, diagnose technical issues, and provide ongoing support to keep AWS environments operationally healthy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a strong foundation of knowledge around AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem
  • Working with customers of all sizes to execute on the Enterprise Support value proposition of AWS
  • Assisting with operational support needs for customers already using AWS
  • Collaborating with experienced technical account managers to craft and share best-practice knowledge
  • Acting as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support
  • Representing AWS within a customer's environment and driving discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of customers, from rising startups to large enterprises undergoing significant transformation. The role involves providing advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning, as well as addressing ongoing operational issues.

This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, and a strong technical background. You should be comfortable presenting to both small and large audiences and be able to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in two or more technical domains such as system administration, networking, programming, DevOps, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, or analytics. Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is highly desirable, as is a background in consulting.

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role (Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Architect, Service Delivery Manager, etc.)
  • Expertise in two or more technical domains (e.g., System administration, networking, programming, DevOps, security, compute, storage, databases, big data, analytics, etc.)
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience
  • Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills across multiple mediums
  • Must be able to communicate in local Thai language
  • Ability to travel 10% or more as needed
