Description For AirPods Analog Engineer - Power

The AirPods team at Apple is seeking an experienced System Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team focused on developing future AirPods products. This role combines hardware engineering expertise with system-level thinking, requiring deep knowledge of analog mixed signals subsystems including power, battery management, and audio.

As an AirPods Analog Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecture, design, integration, validation, and documentation of various analog mixed signals subsystems. You'll become a domain expert in your area and play a central role in cross-functional interactions throughout the entire product development cycle.

The position involves leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams on subsystem architecture, making critical decisions about component selection, conducting design analysis and simulations, and performing schematic and layout reviews. You'll also provide crucial support for hardware prototyping, product manufacturing, and hardware/firmware bring-up and validation.

Requirements For AirPods Analog Engineer - Power

Python
  • BS/MS EE or equivalent
  • 7+ years overall experience in industry
  • Deep understanding of power and audio mixed-signal building blocks
  • Strong analog/mixed-signal analysis
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written communication
  • Experience in designing low-power, high volume consumer products
  • Experience in prototyping, characterizing, and debugging mixed-signal hardware
  • Experience with digital interface such as I2C, SPI, I2S, PDM, etc
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Matlab and Python
