This position is in the Battery Technology Development Team. The role involves electrical testing, mechanical testing, and electro-chemical characterization of Lithium batteries within the test labs. You'll work closely with other teams (i.e. R&D, Applications, and Qualification) to develop and implement electrical tests and test procedures to characterize battery performance. The role covers all facets of battery testing including development and scheduling of electrical tests, data collection and procedure documentation, interpretation and communication of test results, and maintenance and calibration of all test equipment and meters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing test protocols to measure and characterize cell properties and electro-chemical performance
- Developing and implementing process flows for effective protocol implementation
- Developing, implementing, and documenting validation methods to ensure lab data integrity
- Coordinating characterization data collection
- Coordinating the acquisition or in-house design and manufacture of small tools for lab use
- Resolving needs for and scheduling/performing routine maintenance of test equipment and meters
- Collecting and analyzing test data, writing reports as necessary
- Maintaining standard operating procedure database
- Collaborating with team on necessary deviations in test, detailing any procedure changes
- Communicating results to engineering team
- Refining/Updating test procedures and documents
- Training and mentoring technicians in the operation and upkeep of test equipment and tools
