That's because this group is committed to building fully integrated operating systems that combine hardware, software, and apps into a single Apple experience. Your dedication to cross-disciplinary collaboration will help develop groundbreaking technologies which bring Apple's operating systems into the cloud, such as Private Cloud Compute, which enables the new features of Apple Intelligence.

This group is dedicated to building the core technologies of iOS, macOS, and Apple silicon into server operating systems that are integral to the privacy and security of user data in the cloud. Your commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration will contribute to the development of robust and reliable cloud technologies.

Apple's CoreOS organization is seeking a highly motivated test engineer to join the Core Darwin QA team. We recognize that the quality of our software is only as good as that of our testing. The right candidate for this position enjoys finding creative and unexpected ways to torture bits.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a solid understanding of ongoing development efforts across the operating systems teams
  • Designing and implementing automated test harnesses and infrastructures to support testing of server-based operating systems
  • Contributing to a strategic plan for ensuring the quality of Apple's operating systems in server environments
  • Collaborating with OS developers to create and execute thorough test plans for new kernel and user space features
  • Writing automated tests
  • Enhancing overall test coverage and quality across various OS components
