Description For CPU Debug and Power Management Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Design Verification Engineer to join our silicon engineering team focused on the auxiliary features of a high-performance ARM-based CPU. This role involves working with Power Management, Clock Control, Debug Infrastructure, Resets, and Special-Purpose Registers—spanning both ARM-standard capabilities and Apple-specific innovations.

You will be at the center of a chip design effort collaborating with all disciplines, with a critical impact on getting functional products to millions of customers quickly. The role requires working across the entire product lifecycle, from pre-silicon test planning to supporting post-silicon bring-up and debug when needed. This position is highly cross-functional, bridging CPU and SoC teams, and is critical to delivering robust, low-power, high-performance CPU designs.

Key responsibilities include verifying functionality correctness of CPU Power Management, developing test plans, writing tests in various languages, maintaining verification infrastructure, analyzing coverage, debugging issues, and supporting silicon bring-up teams. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in processor architecture, verification environments, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities For CPU Debug and Power Management Verification Engineer

  • Work across entire product lifecycle from pre-silicon test planning to post-silicon bring-up
  • Verify functionality of CPU Power Management, clock control, and debug logic
  • Develop and execute test plans and schedules
  • Write and debug tests in Assembly, SystemVerilog, SVA, C++
  • Build and maintain verification infrastructure
  • Analyze functional coverage to ensure test plan completeness
  • Identify and debug design issues
  • Support SoC-level debug for clock and power integration issues
  • Contribute to post-silicon debug using waveform and trace tools

Requirements For CPU Debug and Power Management Verification Engineer

Linux
  • BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with digital logic and micro-processor architecture or power management architecture
  • Experience with digital design verification including Verilog and System-Verilog-based testbenches
  • Programming skills in scripting languages (Perl or Python)
