As a CPU Silicon Bringup and Debug Engineer, you will be a key member of the CPU silicon bringup team. Your role will involve complex tasks including reproducing silicon failures on FPGA or Emulators, optimizing FPGA models for speed, creating silicon irritators on FPGA, and executing parts of functional silicon bringup plans. This highly visible and interactive position requires expertise in CPU architecture, hardware debugging, and low-level programming.

You'll work with cutting-edge technology, collaborating across teams to ensure successful CPU silicon development and validation. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of Apple's innovative hardware products. Responsibilities For CPU Silicon Bringup and Debug Engineer

  • Drive end-to-end silicon test plan development and execution across CPU product cycle
  • Reproduction of silicon failures on FPGA/Emulation
  • Contribute to design of hardware irritators to validate features on silicon and pre-silicon
  • FPGA model build and methodology for ECO verification

Requirements For CPU Silicon Bringup and Debug Engineer

Linux
  • Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Academic understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture
  • C and assembly programming skills
  • Experience in scripting
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Academic or industry experience in hardware and low-level software
  • Operating system knowledge
  • Understanding of firmware and device drivers
  • Experience with FPGA model design and optimization
  • Experience with board level debug
  • Industry experience with silicon test plan development and execution
  • Ability to work with multiple teams in delivering a solution
