Custom IC CAD Engineer

As a Custom IC CAD Engineer at Apple, you'll be part of the Silicon Technologies group, responsible for designing and manufacturing next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient display and image sensors. Your role will focus on providing support for digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs using Cadence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing full support for Cadence custom flows, tool development, installation, and maintenance
• Developing utilities and scripts in collaboration with the design team
• Supporting Virtuoso layout and schematic software and release flows based on revision control systems
• Enabling design methodology to increase productivity
• Working with the CAD team to provide general CAD services support, utilities, and scripts
• Supporting tool configuration and application
• Involvement in test development, automation, and regression flow support
• Creating and maintaining relevant documentation

This highly visible role requires a strong background in custom IC design, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with Unix/Linux environments. You'll work closely with design and layout teams to craft and build the technology that fuels Apple's devices, enabling customers to do all the things they love with their devices.
