Description For DDR Design Engineer

As a DDR Design Engineer, you'll join our dynamic Hardware team working on cutting-edge DDR PHY designs for high-performance, low power applications. You'll be deeply involved in all phases of design, from concept studies and architecture definition to silicon bring-up and characterization. Your responsibilities will include performing concept studies for digital designs, writing detailed specifications, creating high-quality RTL descriptions, and supporting verification efforts to ensure bug-free first silicon.

The role requires expertise in RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog, state machine design, and logic synthesis. You'll work with state-of-the-art tools and technologies in a mixed-signal environment, contributing to Apple's next-generation products. Responsibilities For DDR Design Engineer

  • Performing concept studies and provide direction for performance, gate count and power for digital designs
  • Writing detailed design specification and test plans
  • Providing high-quality RTL description, including assertions
  • Supporting design verification for bug-free first silicon
  • Driving functional and code coverage and timing closure
  • Supporting silicon bring-up, performance and power characterization

Requirements For DDR Design Engineer

  • BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog, assertion writing
  • Design of state machines, data paths, arbitration and clock domain crossing logic
  • Logic synthesis, timing constraints
  • Understanding of scan concept and writing DFT friendly RTL
  • Unified Power Format knowledge
